Drum Lessons by Recent Music School Grad - Fun and Energetic Teacher!

Hi! I’m a recent graduate of the New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music in Manhattan, and want to teach your child how to play drums! These are not your grandma’s horrible piano teachers lessons! I play a diverse range of music including Jazz, Funk, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Reggae, Rock, Hip-Hop, Afrobeat & more! Lessons are fun and educational at the same time. We will cover basic drum set techniques and concepts, learn songs by your favorite bands or artists as well as learn how to jam, and sound good with other musicians! Lessons are tailored to the needs and desires of individual students.

- Lessons are offered in the comfort of your own home (I will drive to you!) or my easily accessible Park Slope studio.

- First lesson FREE for Park Slope Parents member! Plus $5 off each lesson after that. (Regular 1 hour lessons are $45 normally, but only $40 for PSP members)

Charles Ferguson was born and raised in Berkeley, California. Home to a vast number of different musical styles and cultures, he began playing drums at age 7. Charles has toured extensively throughout Europe as a sideman in addition to leading many groups of his own including a 13-piece Afrobeat band called Zongo Junction.
